Allah Is a Stranger (film, work in progress)
A collaborative participatory outcome of an Artist in Residence program with Culture Vultures (Sefrou, Morocco, 2016 - 2017), Allah Is a Stranger comprises of a film and a photography exhibition. As part of the project, Berber women from a local residents home took part in a series of workshops during which they were trained in using 35mm portable cameras. The women were then invited to document their everyday lives for a period of a week. The film and the photographs portray these exceptional women's struggles, as well as their uncommon, often humour-tinted, outlook on life.
